Instead of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound, it is also possible that Charlotte committed suicide. Mary testified that Charlotte was upset about something toward the end of the night when she was out with her. Charlotte also was on psychotropic medicine for depression and she kept a bottle of her prescribed pills at Anthony’s apartment. The pills were seized as evidence by the police. Although those that knew her do not believe she could have committed suicide, as she had a daughter, whom she loved very much, this was a possibility and was written off by the detective.
